kayla needs you in her corner!
"Sustain Equity Group president & CEO Kayla Hicks is one of many women who has had to persevere through the unthinkable in order to rise and begin to create a new story. However, Kayla stands out in that she wishes to create a platform for many, because she knows how critical it is for Black women in leadership to have the support of authentic sisterhood and mentorship across barriers, so that no one has to rise alone.
Through her work with SEG, Kayla comes to the table, not for herself but to stand in the gap and equip our sisters so there can be more of us on the front lines in executive leadership roles with power! We are solving the issues plaguing our communities and families, speaking for ourselves. The solution is to center and empower women who are already addressing this on the ground and give them the support they need to achieve sustainable change. For example, a small percentage of the organizations designed to address violence in the Black community are led by women who know these stories intimately because they have lived them firsthand.
"SEG seeks to disrupt a narrative that has meant for too long that those who seek to provide us with solutions need not seek our perspective, nor empower us to lead. We are ready to make this critical change. We hope all of you who share in this vision of empowering Black women will join us!"*
Kayla needs you IN HER CORNER to make her dream of equity for black women come true! Please consider making a contribution below today...
